Local Mercy Projects in December
Besides studying Scripture, worship, and fellowship, our community groups also focus on outreach. This might look like inviting friends and neighbors to the group, hosting a question and answer night, praying for your neighborhood, or supporting a local ministry or foreign missionary. But we also want our groups to be actively engaged in the local community through serving the poor here in Austin.
In December two of our community groups will be doing projects like this. If you are interested in joining in, please contact the leaders listed below.
Saturday, December 8, 10a-1p: Helping shoppers and wrap presents at the “Christmas Store” at Mission Possible, a Christian ministry that serves the poor in East Austin. Contact Tim Fox if you are interested: tim@ctkaustin.org.
Saturday, December 15, 9-11a: Cleaning and organizing at TruCare Pregnancy Center, on Manchaca just south of 290. Contact Larry Laine if interested: lainelarry@gmail.com.
